Here is Karen's story in her own words:
I have been designing patterns for about four years. I grew up in Bountiful, Utah, where my mother taught me how to tole paint when I was eight years old. I never thought I had the talent to create my own patterns until after I was married. When I moved to Washington State with my husband, his mother had a motto: "If you like it, you can make it." So I picked up my paintbrush after 16 years and haven't been able to put it down since.

I have been married for nine years to my wonderful husband, Rick. We have two beatiful girls, Amanda (6) and Emily (4). They love to paint with me and are my greatest critics. I hope I can pass down my love for painting and crafting to them
