Cabinet Refacing
If your cabinets are in good condition but just don't have the look you'd like, this is an affordable alternative to new cabinets. This home was built in 1978 so the cabinets were looking pretty outdated. The homeowner wanted to keep the existing countertops and the cabinets were mostly in good, solid condition, so refacing was the best option. All the drawerboxes were replaced and rehung with solid concealed, self-closing slides. All drawer fronts, doors, and mouldings were replaced with new Maple items. All face-frames were covered with 1/8" maple ply. Inside edges were painted to match the faces. All new hardware was installed, including concealed hinges. A new Pantry was built because the old one was poorly designed and damaged.
